Este error me ha traído un par de semanas de cabeza.
Cada vez que intentaba meter un término de búsqueda en la caja de búsqueda que trae el Firefox me dejaba escribir el término de búsqueda, pero depués al pulsar "ENTER" o pichar en la lupa no respondía, no hacía absolutamente nada de nada.
Al final San Google lo resolvió, lo malo de la red es que o pones bien lo que quieres buscar o te sale un montón de morralla que nada tiene que ver con la solución que tu buscas.
Total que si os pasa esto mismo alguna vez es tan sencillo como borrar un fichero en el profile de Firefox que se llama "fromhistory.sqlite", reiniciar Firefox y listo, ya vuelve a responder.

This error has been driving me crazy for about two weeks.
Every time I tried to search something with the Firefox Search Engine Box, it didn't work at all. I write down the search terms, I push "ENTER" key, and Firefox does nothing. I click on the magnifying glass icon, and also nothing.
I thought it was related with the instalatiuon of the Google toolbar 5.0 BETA, but finally God Google gave me the answer. The answer was there, I only needed to make the correct question.
So finally the solution is really simple, you only need to close Fifefox, go to your Firefox profile and delete file "fromhistory.sqlite", restart Firefox, and the search box will work again!!! Quick and simple!!!
